[] Kat is performing in Vietnam until July 19, 2008 - she recently had a large profile in Vietnam papers, entitled the "Famous Austrian Singer"... Kat is not Austrian, though she appreciates the people who come to see her and tell her that she speaks English so well. Also just added: Alaskan Tourdates.

[] Acoustic Live - Kat performed (w/ the wonderful accompaniment of Dermot Mulroney (cello) and Rob Goodchild (guitar, harmony)) in the Finals last night and was chosen by ten industry judges to win the Acoustic Live Songwriting and Performance Contest. This is a huge honor especially considering the tremendously talented and respected artists who took part in this event. Over 650 Los Angeles based artists applied to be part of this acoustic battle of the bands- 42 were chosen to perform. Arists competed over 7 nights and the winner of each night competed in the finals held November 7.

The FEEDBACK from the industry judges (written on judging forms) was incredible (exact transcription- no extra caps or exclamation points added): "GREAT!!! [] KAT ON THE FOOD NETWORK - Our featured artist spot aired this past week. We received great emails from you and some new fans! "It was like a Baywatch Music Video except none of us wore bathing suits" says Kat of her band's recent lipsynching shoot of Kat's "All the Time" - frolicing in the sand for the Food Network's "FoodNation with Bobby Flay". Kat was chosen to represent Los Angeles on the Food Network's "FoodNation with Bobby Flay" (Upscale Los Angeles episode) seen in 78 million households. The show will aired July 21 @ 9:30pm. They did their shoot in two locations in Santa Monica (one on the beach where they lipsynched sitting on a lifeguard stand). Kat says, "I always wanted my life to be like a Baywatch Music Video - I hope they put us in slow motion laughing... and I would like to make it known that I used to be a lifeguard, so I am very qualified." It has a 10" speaker, a low-level output jack for sound reinforcement or recording and puts out 8 to 10 clean watts, depending on which output tube is chosen. It sounds great with acoustic guitar and electronic keyboards, and not only is a great size, but is one of Kat's favorite colors - red. This amp was made by Martone Audio, located in Philadelphia.

[] "Standing Still" released in Paris, France as part of Doug Hoekstra Combo Live at Sal's Music Emporium. It is a limited-edition disc released by Parisian label Hinah.

[] Kat wins the GuitarGirls.com Songwriting Contest with the highest number of votes. The contest songs got over 23,000 plays. Kat won studio time at a top-level Los Angeles Recording Studio, whose clients include Madonna, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Foo Fighters, and Santana. She also won a pink electric guitar.

[] Kat's been chosen as a semi-finalist for the second year in a row for the Pantene Pro-Voice Contest.
